Upcoming Biofeedback Basics Online Class

This class provides an introduction to the use of biofeedback equipment to measure and give feedback on physiological parameters including respiration, skin temperature, skin conductance, and surface EMG. The software demonstrated during the class was built specifically to be a companion to the recently published “Biofeedback Mastery” text by Erik Peper, Ph.D., published by the Association of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB). The "Biofeedback Mastery" text and the online class together introduce the basic skills derived from more than 30 years of biofeedback training and teaching experience: making sense of the data; monitoring and displaying biological signals of interest, the underlying physiology of each signal; accurately recording the signal; the basics of self-regulation; limitations of psychophysiological monitoring; techniques for connecting and attaching sensors; discriminating real feedback signals from artifact.

This course is approved for 6 contact hours by the American Psychological Association and is a must for professionals seeking and introduction to the materials required by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (formerly the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) for certification.

Final date and time are to be determined shortly. Consult the BFE Shop for more information. The Online Class is currently on special, at $149.00, instead of $169.00.
